Madame loved the porcelain sink and came to lay her egg daily.

I draw most of my inspiration from my late father, John Morgan Payne, who was a California-based architect from 1948 until 1977, and from childhood experience living in highly creative architectural homes in Northern California.  I have always experienced homes as living, animate spaces; the older ones presenting the possibility to be renewed or reinforced and the ew ones to feel native to their place on earth, suited to their surroundings.

I am also compelled by the challenge to draw out and kindle that which my clients are inspired by when it comes to home design and construction.  I am not attached to strictly my own notions of beauty and spacial design and prefer to tailor homes to suit the sensibilities of those that will inhabit them.
